ABOUT ME

I am a Junior Professional Civil Engineer (3+ years) with a Bachelor of Sciences Honours Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (BSc Eng, Civil) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (BAS).

Following my 3-year degree in architecture (2015) and at the beginning of my career, I gained a year of professional experience working as an Architectural Technician. I then completed my 4-year degree in engineering (2020) and I have gained just under three years of experience as a junior civil engineer.

I am passionate about the built environment, and with the two aforementioned bachelor’s degrees, I am diversely skilled and can work under pressure to achieve deadlines at a superior quality. My professional career and growth have aided me in my hard-working and detailed-orientated approach.

My background as an architect and engineer, combined with my ongoing Specialised Master's in BIM for Project and Contract Management in construction works at Politecnico di Milano, will enhance my future aspirations to specialise as a project manager. This unique combination provides me with a deep understanding of design processes, technical complexities, and effective collaboration, enabling me to successfully oversee and coordinate multifaceted projects.

I would like to highlight some specific skills:

This is a skill that I value in my career and would like to evolve further. I believe that I can perform this role at a high level. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have always enjoyed and naturally fulfilled the role of managing my teams and projects to ensure their success.

This is a skill that ensures the success of the project, so it is vitally important that the team I am working with are informed, pro-active, organised and committed to a common goal whilst remaining resilient to changes and challenges that may arise throughout the project.

Naturally, innovative thinking, working and living is important to me. I want to get the most out of my time and therefore rely on technology and innovation to achieve this. Sustainability, for me, falls within this category, as there is no goal that may be successfully achieved that has adverse effects on the environment.

With my background and degree in Architecture, I am confident with my eye for detail and believe that my ability to spatially think is a strength of mine on a design or construction projects. Thinking in a three-dimensional space comes naturally to me.

As a Sagittarius, my wanderlust knows no bounds and I find my greatest joy in exploring new cities with my husband and canine companion. From Italy to India, each journey fuels my love for knowledge, adventure and discovery.

I believe in our planet and making conscious choices to reduce my ecological impact. From reducing waste and supporting eco-friendly products to promoting sustainable living practices by being a vegetarian for 12 years, I'm dedicated to making a positive difference for our environment and future generations.

Design is the essence of who I am. From architecture to furniture concepts or fashion, I thrive on the art of beautifully crafted and functional items. After living in a city like Milan for 2 years, where design is a culture, one can find inspiration in every facet of design, shaping spaces, objects, and even personal style to reflect my unique vision and passion for aesthetics.
